OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE
Camp Impact is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing local homeless and underprivileged youth with an opportunity to attend a summer camp. We believe every child deserves a summer camp experience. We strive to create an atmosphere where kids can truly be kids, as they may not get this opportunity in their daily lives. For many campers, this is the one time a year they get the chance to escape their home life and just enjoy being a child in a supportive, safe, and loving environment. Our daily activities include swimming, playing on the sports field, science experiments, arts-and-crafts, cooking classes and so much more!
Our mission within these communities is two-fold. First, we hope to break the cycles of violence, despair and neglect that many of our campers face on a daily basis. Secondly, we endeavor to promote a strong sense of social responsibility, not only for our campers but for our counselors and staff as well. Since its start, Camp Impact has strived to continue to provide valuable experiences and to instill both hope and a social consciousness in the children we serve. It is our ultimate goal that our campers utilize what they learn here at Camp Impact so that as they develop they will become productive and involved members of their communities.
